Membership
Section 1.
Qualifications for Membership. Individual certificated
staff members of all educational institutions, and individuals
involved in various dimensions of media and technology and adhering
to the Code of Ethics of the Educational Profession, may obtain
membership in this association by the payment of dues as set forth
in the Bylaws and by meeting any one of the following requirements.
A. Endorsement by the Iowa Department of Education in
the areas of educational media, educational technology, or library
science.
B. Designation as an instructor in educational media,
educational technology, or library science.
C. Employment in an educational institution in educational
media, educational technology, or library science.
D. Membership in good standing in either Iowa School Library
Media Association or the Audio-Visual Association of Iowa at the
time of the formation of the Iowa Educational Media Association.
E. Employment as a salesperson of educational media materials
and/or equipment subject to the conditions set forth in the Bylaws.
F. Enrollment as a student in library science or educational
media, educational technology, programs in an institution of higher
education.
G. Application to and acceptance by the Board of Directors
as set forth in the Bylaws.
